The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour is at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ this weekend with 51 players competing for a $6,080 total prize fund.

Some notable players in the field include Karen Corr, Julie Kelley, Frankie Hernandez, Danny Basavich, Liz Ford, Ryan McCreesh, Earl Herring, Zion Zvi, Evan Broxmeyer, Dan Heidrich, Chris Lynch, Ed Abraham, Sean Morgan, Ray MacNamara, Jason Michas, and Mike Zuglan.

They are down to the final eight players and Sunday’s matches starting at noon are;

On the Winners Side:
Mike Zuglan vs Ryan McCreesh
Chris Lynch vs Sean Morgan

On the One Loss Side:
Frankie Hernandez vs Karen Corr
Dan Heidrich vs Ed Abraham

Also, Mike Zuglan is taking entries for the recently announced Turning Stone Classic 9-Ball Open events scheduled for February 22th thru 25th, 2007 and August 16th thru 19th, 2007 respectively, at the beautiful Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY.

These $25,000 added events will surely fill fast and are limited to the first 128 paid entries. Both events require a pre-entry and you MUST contact Mike Zuglan to enter!

Remember, the previous seven Turning Stone events were filled to capacity with many players being "shut out", so enter early!

The Turning Stone is a non-alcohol serving casino which means you only need to be 18 to gamble on the casino floor. All ages are welcome in the Event Center and spectator admission is FREE.

I just want to say congrats to our own Liz Ford who lost in the last round tonite, placing 9-12th in this great field.

Liz is as fierce a competitor as they come, not the least bit afraid to comepete with the best and her game is showing the results of her dogged determination. She got 5th in her last 2 Blaze Tour events and now this great finish.

I know you are a champion Liz. Soon everyone will know. Way to go. The best is yet to come!
 
Both Chris and Sean are good friends of mine. Let's just say I'm all smiles! I think I may need to figure out a way out there tomorrow!

Ryan McCreesh was in the hot seat!

So then it came down to Ryan McCreesh and Frankie Hernandez in the finals.., true Double Elimination Format.

Frankie Hernandez defeated Ryan McCreesh in the first set. 9-7

Then, Ryan McCreesh defeated Frankie Hernandez in the final set. 9-8
