Update on the Des Moines pool scene

I had some Silver Strike Bowling action for you last night man. That guy didn't play all that good and wanted to bet in it. I said I know a guy and he said get his ass up here. That was the same kid that whooped Jody on the big table lol. He wanted to gamble at any and everything.

No bigge. I probably wouldn't drive out there that late just to play Silver Strike unless it was the weekend. I believe APA has masters this weekend so Big Dogs will be a little cramped and warm FYI.

He wanted to play $50-$100/game...he bowled about a 200 from what I saw. I seen you do much better than that. It was a lock.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here...probably not too far out...and say that he probably would have scored higher for $100 a game?

So last night Brad / Brian / Tom / Matt showed up to play league at Big Dogs to find out they had a bye. Brad was trying to match up with someone/anyone including Jon Brown. I said lets play a 4on4 team match. And i said we would take Frost as our handicap. Me / Justin / Jon / Frost.

After some discussion we decided (brad did) that they needed spotted 6 games in a race to 25. Anyhow they beat us 25-13, lol

We agreed to trade Frost for Mikey H and play them race to 15 giving them 3. Went hill/hill and Matt playing me. Matt missed a run out and i didnt. We break even, except for Mike H who actually made money, lol ;) Frost had made a side bet, his $80 to win his $50 back.

We really had alot of fun, all of us had a good time making a game and playing it out.

That was good fun Jason. Had a blast. Even though that last spot I thought was a little light. But none the less, we made a run at it and after I beat Mikey H. to tie it at 14's, I figured it was a coin flip.

I liked doing the team match more than sweating out a heads up match mostly because I like playing w/ my team. It is really hard to handicap a match like that and get it close. I think both spots were 'close'(even though the first set didn't look that way!!!).

LOL for the record I played blind and with about 3 different pool sticks. I still won 3 games which was the same amount of games that Jason and Justin also won so I was hardly the handicap even playing blind as a bat. Jon brown won 4 games which made up our team 13 wins.

I cant play when I cant see so I stepped out and Mike H. went in. He only won 2 out of the team 15 games in the second set. Jason, Justin, and Jon won the other 13 games for the win. The other team just played good.

Fyi Mikey F., every person on our team was playing with a different cue than their regular cues and 3/4 of our team was 4-5 drinks under(matt-THE SOBER ONE)! SO, Next time, bring your contacts, cues, and cheddar and leave the excuses in the car!!! :poke:

Sorry you are talking to the guy who closed a tab that included 12 Goose and Red Bulls...4-5 under lol! Rookie drinkers! I happen to have my cues, contacts, and the same pocket full of dinero I always have today though. I can get 3 ready to go with me too, you just say the word. Won't be stacked either a fair match.

I figured that to but he was gonna give 20 pins up as well. I seen Spimp get over a 250...so unless this guy is bowling 300s at will, he can't win that way at first.

Oh and sidenote about the Arizona guys. Every single person started out ahead. Jody up 2 sets, Mikey was up a game one hole, Phil was up 4 games...No one from DSM ended up with any cash, I'm well aware they were hustlin, I actually liked that about them.

The AZ guys are here looking for some action again, if anyone is interested??

Last night was the most fun I've had playing pool in a long time. Played some with Bruce first, then we played the team match, which is something we should definitely do again. A good time had by all!!

Brad you might still get 2 on the wire goin to 6 or 7 :)

Is Jason Chance going to play or not?

Just talked to Jason and he is going to try to push back his Nebraska trip to play tomorrow. I also tried to call Fenton, but he's probably still in bed. I'm calling Jimmy now to see what's up.

LOL I know right...they come into town making the games they were told to make if they wanna win money. He can play Phil some more as long as the game is right. Phil might be the only one with a shot at winning off those guys. Jason can win if he plays with a tiny spot I think. That guy made a 4 game come back in 1 hole though once it got late that makes me suspicious he was holding back on Phil for a little while.

It's gambling whatever we do with them. I'm gonna come by for a bit after work to see whats what in there.

I might do the same. I'll bring my new cues...wait, nevermind. I will bring my witty midget humor.

It would be fun to get them into a bar box game and keep them there!!

They won't play on bar boxes, I don't blame them either. i'm not a fan of the damn things either, prolly why I sold mine. After watching them play yesterday, I think there are some concerned people now. They both play great. No one is in rush to mix it up with them.

What, do they only want lock bets, or just play that strong?

Well no one knows what they know. I dont know if they know anything about anyone. I do know they arent very flexible in what they will gamble at. One guy only will play 1 hole and the other will only play some big table 9 ball. I' say they are just playin what they are confident at...just so happens ppl in DSM are gonna have a hard time winning at those games.

Well, I called out there and gave them a line on each and every one of you guys. Hell, after following this thread, we all pegged you guys.

Just kidding.
