Update on the Des Moines pool scene

No first chance was Mikey in the box, everyone just watched and bet nothing. Then Jody plays. I'm in the middle and on the rail for the majority of all of that. Phil plays and ask if you guys want some of a big set and I'm looking at a 10%-20% go in that feels more like a tax then a chip in. Jason Chance was supposed to be bigger. So no I didnt feel any unity whatsoever. What I saw were people looking for spots to try it some and get out fast. Why wouldnt I do whatever I want in that case, besides I just met those dudes but I like them more than Jamie near a pool table. Besides I know the road dudes were hungry for some money, Jamie plays with not regard or urgency for others' bank rolls.

You were wanting to cut up $50 and $100 games/sets. I said a big set. And all those games were in the favor of Gus except for Jody on the bar box and that lasted 2 sets then no bar table action ever again. They could have played a $1000+ set in a heartbeat on a bar table and i would have loved it with Jody/Jamie or Mikey H playing. They said no, i said ill keep my money then.

They are the worst road players ive ever seen. They are the farthest thing from a hustler i've ever seen. Damn they were giving it all for a $50 set and didnt dump off to anyone <--- seems retarded.

Edit: I'll talk to you later, i got some stuff to do away from the comp.

I expect there to be many more players coming through town in the near future. Not that I don't enjoy reading all of this, BUT there is enough inside information in this thread alone, to give someone all the lines they need to come to Des Moines and win.

They never played good enough to win either though did they, weird? They wanted to raise the bet a million times. They did dump off, how many games down to you have to be to get someone to raise the bet in a town full of nits..I get it man I really do...I bet $150/game while Phil was playing, u had $50/game on it which isnt bad action but u fail to realize all the guys playin when I was involved are either negative money or wanted half. You bet more on Victor than anyone else...that should tell the whole story...I'm still analyzing every thing they did while they were here. I am gonna reserve judgment on them being bad hustlers. They will be back in a month and they have the seeds planted. Except for the fact no one will bet a nickle.

It's 91 pages with about 40 pages of all the info anyone needs to know...that's pretty nifty isn't it?

I was thinking the same thing

Well good luck to them when they get back. All they want is to play even their games and for how much they want. When they come back i wont bet a penny unless i have the mortal nuts in a game. You can go ahead and tell them that. If they wanna out run the nuts they can play someone here on my money. Otherwise ill sit back and watch them play jody $50 sets.

I mean the best thing they could have done is lose about $500 or so the night they played Phil. The next night they would have had an easy $1000 set with side action. I mean you were trying to set up a $1000 set with phil breaking even, let alone if he had won right ?And have Bobby try some others on the bar table. They would have had more action then they could shake a stick at, and you know it. We're all suckers here.

I mean seriously, what road player/hustler after 4 days in town cant play more than a $50 set or $100 game of 1pkt. LMFAO

I won't be the defense for those guys but like I said I am trying to figure it out in my head some of the things done...this isnt an action town, they just had business here. They woulda done better in Omaha or KC which is where they are headed. He tried to raise the bet on Jason Chance and Jason said I can tell he's playing goofy like. Road players have a lot better luck dealing with gamblers. If it wasnt for the 2 for 1 drinks or Chance playing I wouldnt have been there all week long because nothing was going down at all. We'd all rather take from each other(Vic/Troy or Jon/Jamie or..........). I'm cool with that but since people dont make games anymore then fine I wont dare negotiate a game. After my table gets to my house I prolly will only show up occasionally.

P.S. No shock you only want to bet with the stone cold nuts...announcing it though doesn't sound too good.

Yeah, sadly im a dumb hick from Iowa.

I hope they dont come back, so i dont have to make fun of them.

Justin seems to think it was all Gus could do to beat Phil at 10-7.

Yep it seems we just like to take each others money. Well something like that anyway. People around really need to have a comfort level before they are willing to bet. Thats the only good thing about Jamie, he dont care. It's toobad you and him got off to a bad start, you guys should really get along well. Im still pretty sure he killed you in a previous life.

Jason, since you work 1/2 of part time find me an avatar picture of Elisha Dushku I can use...or even Alissa Milano. Thanks

Dude, there's some stuff that me and the old ass Alyssa need to discuss. If anyone runs into her, tell her that the swimsuit is dry now and there's no excuse. She'll know.

By the way, this is absolutely no joke. Anyone want to hear some "The Insider" story, you'd better be a good friend. I met her at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville. That's where I'm from originally. What's the Anito kid say? "And I kid you not."
