Update on the Des Moines pool scene

The kid from South Dakota is getting busy so far somehow up 10 games with a 35-25 lead after day 1 against Mika. They did not play very well, I will chalk it up to new felt and a tougher table than people gave it credit for. Mika probably played his C game and that was definitely SVB's low B game. I look for today both guys to play much better and Mika to win around 40 games today to make day 3 a coin flip. If SVB wins today too you can stick a fork in Mika.
If Shane hits his gear today it's over. With neither player playing well Mika is still down 10 games. If he doesn't win day 2 in terms of games it is hard to see him coming back on day 3 but you never know. He's probably lucky Shane's break wasn't working better or else it would be closer to being down 15 games if not more.
I didn't realize they were playing this week. I thought it was this weekend.

That table is giving them issues, their ball speed isn't great and the pockets aren't accepting poorly hit balls despite the new felt. Can't wait to go home and sweat it again. This match couldn't have come at a better time either as I am still a little under the weather and at least I got something to watch while I work on getting myself right.
Are the 4 new Pro Cut Diamond Bar Tables in at Big Dogs yet? Anyone know? Any action been going on?

I would have to say, that if anyone can come back from 10 games down on Shane right now it's Mika. However, I still think Shane will win the set.
Just think what the lead woulda been if Shane's break was ON.....
They both struggled a bit with cueball control (speed of the table), but Mika seemed to struggle a bit more. The misses (from both) were just unbelievable though!!! On some fairly simple shots too!
Mika will play better this evening, but I have a feeling Shane will get his break down too (even if he has to spend a couple of hours on it today). 69 games this evening is my call - a 1 game difference in the lead (either way), but MUCH better play from both can be expected.

Mika needs there to be about 75 games today for him to make a push. They won't stop until someone gets to 70.
The pro cut Diamond boxes aren't in yet. I did get a chance to play on one of the new big Diamonds today though. It played sporty.

First day I feel semi okay! I am gonna hit balls from around 4 til 6 then home to sweat the end of the match...they have to play good one day they are the best. Perfect example of champions only dog it to other champions. See yall at Dogs later.

Lol, it was spurr of the moment since I only had 10 days and slacked off and didn't start thinking of submitting till day 7. We have about no shot since only 21 out of like 7000 get picked but who knows. How often does someone from Des Moines qualify for these things anyway!?

I think you got a better shot then most. Unless you've never watched the show, and seen the idiots who do make it.
100-79 SVB winning, I am pretty sure he never trailed at any point the entire match. Once Mika let the give up stroke out last night he played 5 times better. Thank goodness Mika wasn't loose the entire match, that could have went a different way.
