Updated WPBA Rankings - Unofficially

By my calculations, the WPBA rankings as of the end of the BCA open are as shown below. The two provisos, as always are that I don't keep the info required to break ties, and these rankings are unofficial. The great site WPBA.com is the only official source for WPBA rankings.

Not much activity in the rankings, with the most noteworthy change being the return of Ewa Laurance to the Top 20 and the continuation of the steady advance of Tracy Hines, which now has her ranked #22, and pointed toward a possible Top 16 ranking by the end of this WPBA season. Kelly Fisher is, of course, the most improved player on tour this year, but Tracy Hines isn't far behind.

SJM,
What is the prevailing theory on the slide of Helena Thornfeldt? Didn't she have a lock on 3rd/4th for quite some time. She was an instructor at our "pool school" earlier this year, and I was extremely impressed with her self-deprecating humor, as well as her enthusiasm and appreciation for the game (not readily apparent when watching her play a match).

As noted, only WPBA.com has the official rankings. Speaking of that site, I must note that I bought some really cool stuff at the WPBA booth at the BCA Open. I highly recommend their products, which I believe can be purchased through that site.

I dunno SJM, I think dealing with the WPBA over the internet is like dealing with the old Inside Pool online store. No doubt that their products are cool, but they really need to work on their online costumer service, IMO.

BTW, thanx for the points configuration. Just dealing with the NPR forum has me all mathed out, LOL!

In your case, Landshark, you can defer your WPBA spending spree to WPBA Peoria.

Yes they are acttually getting products to the venues now. For a time "it was too much trouble" and i am quoting a real person. I think that the brutal obstacles were finally overcome with the purchase of the WPBA Trailer but im just guessing.

Yeah, Peg Ledman showed me the WPBA trailer with great pride. Pretty cool stuff!

The WPBA T-shirt I bought that I really love is the one that looks like a shirt for a concert tour of a rock band. On the back, it says 2005 WPBA Tour, and beneath that, it lists the tour stops. Finally, just below that, it says "these girls are good". Fantastic! I'm pretty sure I'm the first one on my block to own this T- shirt, but recommend it highly to all.
