Like I said, write a compalint letter to your local congressman or President Bush. Maybe you will change their opinion like you're changing mine.
On behalf of those of us who prefer to have drugs illegal, and illegal drug users prosecuted, please accept our sincere apologies.
Chris
Drugs are not illegal, there's a drug store on every corner and a drug commercial in every tv show. I might accept your apology, if I knew what it was for. I will take it that it was for implying I am a drug user. Like I said, we all use drugs, we all eat. Therefore, I cannot accept your apology. I do apologize for implying you can't read or understand the constitution. You obviously can read, you're on this forum, and I'm sure you would understand the strict limits placed on the federal government by the constitution, and the reasons for them, if you had the time or the inclination to study these issues, as I have.
I have been reading this forum for a good while now and wanted to join in to add my two cents worth as I have enjoyed many good conversations from all you guys that have posted. I don't know who most of you are, and I'm not sure if any of you know who I am, although I do know at least one of you out there, and probably more. I wanted to share my experience in pool, having played all my life, and played on the tour for several years. I don't post under my own name here simply because I don't want arguments to be personal, as I have seen and read all about Fast Larry and Grady and how people can get riled up on here.
I also want people to take my pool advice seriously. I am not one of the top players, and probably most of you wouldn't know me if I told you my name, and the ones that do know who I am probably would think I wasn't that good anyway, but I have had good success against nearly all of the top players, I have been near the top, and I believe I know a lot about what it takes to make it to the top, which is where I'm planning to go.
You have struck a nerve with this conversation because I have been studying these issues for many years, and believe that studying the history of these problems would lead more people to understand what's going on a lot better, and see the obvious solutions. Of course most people don't have the time to do that.
If you will read my posts, you will see that I have not advocated any type of drug use, illegal or legal. I have played plenty of matches on the pro tour against players on who knows what, while I was not even taking aspirin. I once beat a top player in a money round who went berserk yelling at me to play thousand dollar sets, I declined, then drew the same guy and beat him first round the next tournament, while he made funny sucking noises and chewed his lips the whole time. I have no sympathy for drug addicts, legal or illegal. But people are people. You should value everyone's opinion, based on logic and sound reasoning. You offended me by talking down to the other guy you responded to. I was defending him, or I would have just let my question stand, the one you cannot or choose not to answer.
I use my own name when I write letters to the paper in my local area to voice my opinion on these issues and others like the illegal Iraq war (only Congress can declare war - they have not) with the illegal callups of state national guard units (can only be called up by Congress to suppress insurrections, repel invasions, or enforce the laws of the land). And I plan on running for governor of my state as soon as I can get around to it. A few million from the IPT should help me out on that, LOL!
Some of my closest friends are having great problems with prescription drugs, meth, and alcohol. Rich people can get help and go to detox centers, poor people get sent to jail or the state mental hospital. It would be easier to get help for people if it was legal. You can't even talk about the problems now because all you'll do is get people arrested and sent to jail for 30 years, leaving their children where?
If you will apologize to the other guy you talked down to, I don't remember who it was right now, then you owe me no apology for implying I use illegal drugs, as there is no such thing, and I sincerely do apologize for insulting your reading comprehension skills, I just got carried away. (I had a soda earlier which got me speeding on the caffeine they put in their to replace the original cocaine).
Sincerely
