The WPPA (world pool players assn.) is a spin-off of sorts from usppa.
Bob bealieu runs it. Search to find website- I can't remember it.
Last year event had 100 players or so - this year is capped at 128.
It is a handicap format but contact them to see if a player is eligible.
I think it is a $3,000 added event - or a $3,000 first place.
They are a good group trying to improve pool - generally in the SF bay area but some into Oregon and LA.

Mark...Is the WPPA an offshoot of the old USPPA? Who's running it? Good luck with your Reno events. No doubt they will be great for the players, as always. Looking forward to seeing you at the Rio next summer!
