Tell that to Shane. The table is the same for all the players. Brian went through a list of top players, not bar box players, to win the event. He stretches the description of "Amateur" near its limits.

Some people don't understand and don't want to understand
That because you win a match against a top professional
Doesn't make you his equal.most knowlegeable pool
Players and golfers know that. The others don't want to know
That . There are many amatuer golfers that work a full time
Job like you that can beat the pros on a given day or a given week.
But not day after day. CONGRATES on your play
I am 62 and will be making my fourth trip to the
Finals . See you there
 
Brian I'm looking forward to getting another shot at beating you. Makes me think of the tennis player Vitas Gerulaitis who after losing match after match after match to jimmy Connors, he finally beats him. Later when the press asked him about it he said, "And let that be a lesson to you all. Nobody beats Vitas Gerulaitis 17 times in a row!"

No luck on the cues. People suck sometimes. Just gotta move on and adjust to my new cue for now. Jim Pierce was super nice and made me one. Hits really good.
 
Don't quite understand why so many amatuer pool players always look at how much if any money and can't play for the enjoyment and experience like they do in Golf , Tennis and AAU BASKETBALL and other amatuer sports. The young amatuer golfers travel the country on their or their parents own dime for the competion. Why do pool players feel they have to have money involved

I hate to tell you but AAU basketball is about the furthest thing from amateur athletics for those that really can play at the next level. LOTS of perks. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Worse than college football recruiting. Just look at the teams that are solely tied into the AAU pipeline. Syracuses, Kansas... most all of the regulars.

I can't agree more. This is the best run tournament that I've played in. I kind of enjoy the tournament without the money being involved. Whens the last time you have witnessed a major altercation at one of these?
