It is not my intention to belittle any 9 ball tour, I played on pro 9 tour from early 90's - late 90's, towards the end the camel tour introduced ten ball. The few fans that did attend these 9 ball events were walking out - due to the arguing that would happen when players were dealing with the costant wing ball issue - not to mention the soft break. Ten ball did stop some of this, if the bca is continuing to promote 9 ball they are doing so as a result of the ref being able to control who makes the wing ball and who does not - on opening break, I have learned much about the elusive/ slippery bca as of late and it actually does make sense they would want to promote the already failed demographic of 9 ball. Rack yer own - looks poor. Most top players (probly 90%) would agree that 10 ball would be the most obvious chose for rotation pool today junior league or pro "" So again I am only speaking from experience.
14.1 is a great game, but it is too boring, to watch, in my opinion.
Be honest, how many players enjoy sitting through a 14.1 match? I wonder how many true fans of 14.1 exist, in this day and age. I am better not very many, compared to fans of 9 and 10 ball. I am betting not many, compared to 1 pocket too.
The answer is, who knows, because 14.1 tournaments are rarely played anymore. I have never personally seen one before, in the last 25 years.
I hear about 14.1 leagues going on, like at Red Shoes in Chicago, but I do not know how popular those leagues are.
