If I recall, Corey Deuel absolutely whitewashed Mika Immonen in the final, and the soft break had much to do with it. I watched that match the other day and it wasn't so much the soft break it was a fact that the 1 went in the side pretty much every time. In most cases Corey didn't even have a shot on the two and didn't run out.

But the fact that a ball hardly ever went past the center of the table just made for a really bad game every rack.

My wife and I had loaded up the RV and were going up to visit her mother in Reston and catch a few days of the tournament but we hardly crossed the Florida Georgia line when we turned around and went back home.

The match is on someone's face book. If you Google Facebook and 2001 us 9 ball open or something like that you will find it. It's really worth watching.

One of the announcers this week mentioned something along the line of "Corey robbed that tournament a little" LoL. Almost made it sound like he was a cheater

I forgot to mention, the 9 was racked on the spot. It essentially set up like a trick shot with the 1 into the side.
