Are non-leather tips allowed on Jump, Jump-Break, or Break cues in this year's 2008 US Open 9 ball tournament?

IIRC, phenolic tips have always been allowed in the past. I haven't seen anything indicating that it would change this year.

Also, since Mike Gullyassy, the one who brought the phenolic tip to the forefront in pool, plays in the Open and has a sales booth every year, I don't think they will be changing the rules any time soon.

Remember, the Open is not the IPT.
