Sunday (May 26 2006) I caught the last 2/3rds of a match between a top pro player (name left out to avoid accusations of slander) and Ralph S. in the US Open. There was some other games going on around this game, so it was not the TV rounds. Was this the 2005 US Open or another US Open?

What caused Ralph's opponent to be so upset? I just want to know for my personal edification, so you can PM me responses if you want.

He was getting trounced...that's what.

He accused Ralf of playing 'Dinky pool' as I recall...lol

Part of the issue I think was Ralf's slow and deliberate play, but as I recall watching it, it seemed like his normal rate of play. Not too slow, but he's certainly not a fast player.

They usually complain about Ralf's pace when they lose. Why? Because they get less table time and attribute it to his deliberate style. Duh!
