US Open not so...

...US!

I'm feeling, as an American, just a bit disappointed - given the current state of American professional billiards - that one of our immensely talented players was unable to step up to the plate and salvage a bit of of positivity that if properly directed could very well have been exactly what we/I needed.

Steve H.

Putnam didn't have a chance to get to the table....and when he did it was to get out of a safe or had to kick the ball. So even with the USA chants when Putnam got on the table, he had no way of doing much....it was not that Shawn played bad, it was simply he was not allowed on the table that much....

The top 16 from the world rankings and the top 16 from the BCA rankings are used (some players are on both lists, so we go down to the next player). Plus Barry gets three picks of his own?? You asked so I told you.

This is the main reason I don't play in the Open, because I wouldn't want to knock some poor unfortunate soul to the loser's side, like a Darren Appleton or a SVB, just because they were unlucky enough to draw me in the first round.

Hhahaha and here I thought your location of "A mile high" had to do with you being in Denver..........

Another thing to point out was that with the seeding you still got to see Cory and Schmidt both get knocked to the losers side in the first round... I know John likely wasn't ranked top 16 but Cory was in the top 5.....
