I just remembered I had this. Here's the TPA formula and the kinds of errors that are included. Missing any shot is an error; missing a shot easier than a spot shot is two errors.

You're probably right about that being the highest overall average ever, but pro's have been shooting over 0.900 for many, many years.

Rempe vs Archer at the Sands years ago with McCready doing commentary is one match that comes to mind for both players playing well. Both shot over .930 if I remember correctly.

Rempe also had matches, races to 11, of .933, .951, and a .960 in just one senior tournement in 1999.

Yes I think the exceptions come down to;
Did the payer run the balls to a PLANNED safety, cuz Pat isn't going to penalize you for that OR did the players intended run end because they got out of line and HAD to play safe or kick.

Hey, not so fast, Pat might still give the nod to Klatt because the positional error wasn't blatant and he did play a successful safety? We'll see. If so, (per Pat) that will be the first 1.000 vs. 1.000 match ever recorded. Even still, it is the highest rated match (both players combined) ever.

Off topic- Joe, you've been saying that 10 ball is coming, for years...you were so right.

That was only cuz I had my nose stuck in thousands of 9 ball racks and could see "this game is broken, its too easy when given a perfect rack and screwed when, well screwed when it ain't so perfect"

Glad we have tours like the Seminole 10B tour that see the light and help spread the word, 10 Ball Rack your own, ie, live with your own slugs, spot the 10 OTB, this game ain't that easy young man just go ahead and spot that back up please.

Hope they have agreat event this week, really really wish I was there.
