Hey everyone,

I have been here in New Mexico since Monday and finally the tournament is starting. I have to say it was fun coming to a tournament a little early. Monday I got a chance to hit some balls and hang out at the pool room a little bit. Tuesday we tried something new. We had a pro-am golf charity golf outing. It was alot of fun and we raised some money for the Billiard Education Foundation.

Now to the good stuff....the tournament. The draw was done tonight. I have to play at 10 am. I drew my room mate for all of the tournaments, Debbie Schjodt. It is kind of a bad draw since we are good friends but it will definitely be a good match.

I will be back with updates tomorrow.

Good idea Kyle...I mean...no I would never do anything like that. :) She was already thinking of all the ways to sabotage me...it's a battle I don't think I can win.

Kinda' sux you have/had to play your pal! :( Actually, playing a friend can be a positive too... you know her game, you're comfortable with each other, and most importantly you have mutual respect!!! By the time you've read this (I hope!) you will have advanced and on the winner's bracket! Git r done Girl!!! ;)

Wally...that was pretty funny. Debbie and I were both cracking up when we read that.

I did end up beating Debbie, but I can say that I got really lucky. She really played great and didn't make many mistakes at all. I made alot of mistakes early in alot of racks, just total mental errors. She missed an eight ball to go up 8-6. After that at 7-7, I broke and ran out to go up 8-7. She broke and made a ball, made the one but didn't get shape on the two and tried to play safe. She left me a two way shot with a chance to make the nine. I made the nine to win the match.

My next match was against Tiffany Nelson. She too was playing great and quickly jumped to a 6-2 lead. I kept scratching on my break and giving her an opportunity to run out. Finally at 6-2 I decided to actually hit the break hard rather than worrying about controlling the cue ball. I did that and ran out. I started coming back and got the score tied at 7. She reached the hill first and scratched with two balls on the table to win. Hill-hill, I can honestly say that I dogged it. I was shooting the 6 and hit it dead into the rail but got a lucky roll and didn't leave much of a shot. She tried to play safe and left me a shot, but a tough one. I missed that opportunity as well leaving her nearly straight in but tough to get on the 8. She made the six but missed the eight. I made the 8 and 9 to win.

So tomorrow at 10pm I play the Queen Bee herself, Allison Fisher. I'm hoping to go in playing my best and play a good match. That is all I can ask for. If I do that, I can win.

Good luck in that match Sarah and please knock her out of the box PLEASE I'm sick of seeing her win you have more HEART and GAMBLE then her, just remember that 1 ;) And good LUCK in the whole tournament anyway!PEACE OUT ;)

Make that 1,000,000 BRAND NEW bottles of hairspray!

As we both know, but maybe I need to remind you...even Allison has said, which I even still have saved to my mail, that you are a great player and person. That translates to : She could kick my a$$ and it wouldn't suprise me.

With that being said, I must say I always figured when this came up, I'd feel somewhat akward and torn. I was wrong... You're Sonic, she's Eggman.
I know you can do it too...no doubt...I'm not going on faith, I'm going on facts.

Good Luck !!! Sarah I'll be there watching. I hope you knock her (AF) into the 1 loss side. This is a great event and at a nice place. I hope you enjoy your stay here in New Mexico. Go eat some of the local food. A little green chili will set you straight.

Thanks Tim. I really like it here in Albuquerque. The people here are great and extremely friendly...the scenery isn't bad either. As for the local food..suprisingly, I haven't tried any yet. It is kind of tough to get to places without a car. But I do have a free day today, so maybe I will try it.

But the question is...if you were there in person....would you be screamin' at the top of your lungs for my sista to win??? Even durring Fisher's shot???

Sarah...I have V-cash that says Allison doesn't get to the finals. You're task is to make that so.....THAT IS YOUR ONLY TASK...well...that and the revelatoin when you get on TV. I know you like pool and all, but the easiest way to go about this is to stay on the winner's side...it's less games for the prize.

Good questions landshark....but I have to say, Dea is starting to smarten up as she gets older. At least she is starting to realize who the cool people are.

You put your Vcash in my hands. Are you nuts? You have a baby to feed! Wait....nevermind. I know you want me to win so you can see your name on TV....I don't blame you. And I agree about the winners side...I would definitely like to stay there.

Sarah,

You can beat her. After working with Mark I'm sure your fundamentals are sound. Don't be intimidated and keep your concentration up and you'll be fine.

Like every player, she does lose matches.
