Not a bad idea. In the past 8 years of the Mosconi Cup:

• Of the 129 matches played, the winner of the lag won 79 of the matches (61%).​

• The team that won the Cup won the majority of the lags 5 times, tied with the team that lost the Cup twice, and lost the majority of the lags once.​

Of course they are short races. I and many others have railed about this before. Great post and let's hope they take the lag seriously this year!!
