USBA Interview Available Now

Having played many billiard disciplines, I must say that three cushion is such a fascinating game with so much fun and excitement. And from what I see, many players have problem learning, adapting to the game. Regardless of the situation, we still gotta get more people to play this game.

45 to 50 million out of roughly 320 million people in America play pool, that's a lot of people and I didn't know that. It certainly wouldn't hurt if we steal a couple million pool players to play three cushion=:).

I like Jim's idea of adding C/B tournaments to the nationals, and having top players to provide clinics in different rooms.

Great interview Steve!!!

Yes, good interview and I like the idea of having the nationals in C,C+B, B+ at the same time with the Top players.

I am glad to hear that having multiple championships during the Nationals sounds like a good idea. As you know the only way it can come to fruition is by the A/B/C players supporting and participating.

I was browsing the internet and came across this article on Bill Smith's Mr 3Cushion site. It's an article he wrote for Billiards Digest in 1991describing in part what Jim is advocating now, 23 years later, interesting!

Yes, it's very interesting article by Mr3Cushion.

However, Problem with three cushion billiard lies within the game itself:

-It's a very hard to learn game for starters.
-It's a game to play and not to watch.
-Non billiard players have no interest in watching because they don't understand the game.

For corporates to sponsor, they need to see the profit that they can get out of it.

Maybe we have to accept it for what it is. At least it's getting more popular very slowly with the help of the USBA.

Very interesting article.

However, what I am really interested in is getting myself one of those cue-nique 980 computers!
