Useful CB Control Principle for RAIL CUT SHOTS … Bringing the CB Back ALONG THE LINE

I look much sportier when I can edit out all the misses.

How many misses are we talking about? Like what would you say your success rate is for hitting these shots (and the hit). I was messing around with this last night for the first time but hitting the correct ball was hot and miss!

I honestly don’t remember, but I would guess I would be 1 in 3 with a shot like that if I had not practiced it very recently. I don’t have access to a table right now. If I did, I would try it and give you a more precise number.

FYI, I just posted a new video that discusses and demonstrates the “hold the line” principle, useful for predicting CB direction off rail cut shots, where the OB is about a ball off the rail. This principle helps you know what is possible when planning position-play routes. Check it out:

As always, I look forward to your feedback, comments, questions, complaints, and requests.

Enjoy!

Thank you Dr. Dave, this is another great video. It should make you happy that your name is synonymous with pool technique in most pool halls across the country.

Have you thought of arranging some of your drills in another book? The videos are great but it’s also nice to have something simple to open and flip to a page for practice.

You’re welcome, and thank you!

I don’t have plans to work on any more books, but I have printable handouts for many drills and principles here:
