I think the biggest reason people don’t use low and slow as much is because it’s way too easy to decelerate (which of course can mean you miss, you end up with follow, or you don’t hit it hard enough to make it).

I’m not saying we shouldn’t practice it, or that people shouldn’t try backing off, but I’d guess that most players below 550 Fargo will hit a firmer stop shot way better. Below 500 I’d say deceleration on that shot is the norm, especially under pressure.
