Using conversion for break/jump cue

Hi guys,

I would love to have a conversion made in to break/jump, do any of you have experiences with making this?

I am a bit worried that the cue would not be solid enough to handle the hard punches from the break.

Hope to hear from some of you

I was hoping to hear some experiences from the guys here before i decide.
cool, glad to see you came out of the shadows

i'll post what i said to you yesterday,
to see if any of the other guys, can shed some more light on it for you

our email from yesterday>

claus>How about when using the conversion for jump breaks, are they as solid
as if i had a new sneaky made?

me> in all honesty, i do not know. it seems to be solid. i beat them on the floor to see if theres any buzz or rattle. those old cues were assembled with horse glue. not nearly as strong as the newer glues are.

claus> I am bit worried that it might bend easier than a newer one.

me> it's up to you.
i dont know how you treat your cues or if you break a 500 pound gorilla

and i will add this now >
my thought is, lots of people would drag an older brunswick house cue off the rack for a break cue.
i've personally never seen anyone break, shatter a house cue

i remember a couple of threads from way back when kevin varney posted a thread or 2 where he posted examples of conversions that were converted in to j/b's. so i know it's possible. i'm sure any of the forum member makers can help you out
