How difficult is it to break down the frame of a valley in order to get it into a basement? Our mechanics won't do it because of liability reasons but it is possible. Any problems or tricks?

The Valley I had did not come apart very far.

The legs come off, and the slate comes out after you remove the cushions.

Then you basically have a box that is about 2x4x8 or 2x3.5x7.

That's the way they are supposed to break down but I need to break the frame into two pieces so I can make a 90 degree turn down into my basement. I talked with two people who have done it before but neither really knew what they were doing. It was more trail and error. I want to know if anyone has a method or trick to do it.

It's not designed to be broken down, if it were, vendors in the Baltimore, MD area would be leasing them in the upstairs bars in their area. The frame is screwed, glued, and stapled together...but, I guess if you had a big enough sledge hammer...LOL, and lots of glue!
