Being wanted is

Timberly says : To date there will not be a special az room like there was at DCC but we will be meeting up at some point. (This could change. Someone said Allen Hopkins had mentioned wanting to do something close to what we did at DCC so we'll see)

Being wanted is better than wanting to be , We wanted to be at DCC so the money was gathered to pay for the room and table ,now the shoe is on the other foot ! Allen Hopkins is now "wanting" us to be at his event and I think that should be one hell of a bargaining tool ! He asked me what the deal was on
our room and I told him while taking him to show him the location . He was in and out of the room quite a few times early on in the six days I was there
and approached me and asked if we could do this at VF ?

I don't really know WHERE at VF we could put it... There is the hotel but it's certainly no where near the festivities.

Barbara, you & one other person are the only two people that I know for sure could get in touch with Allen. I like you more than I like that other person. :p Is there some way you can get in touch with Allen and let him know that if he's interested, we're interested? I don't mind taking on the responsibility, esp since I live so close and will be there the whole time anyway. We can continue through PM's if you'd like. Thanks!

It seems he mentioned something to Ratchet about us having an AZ room at the Expo. Could you please tell him that if he meant it, we're certainly willing to try to put something together. We would obviously need his help in finding and getting a location for the room. I'm new to this but I'm sure that WBM will help guide me through what all I would need to do.

Basically, if he's interested, we're interested and that I'm willing to take on the responsibility of setting it all up. We'll just follow his lead and whatever he wishes or needs for us to do.

My father and I are going. I will be in the amateur tourney and my father will be doing the senior and amateur tourney.

Hey Everyone!!

Of course I thought of this AFTER I emailed Allen, but we may not need to involve him.

There are lots of conference rooms between the Scanticon and the Radisson. Maybe someone could check them out and reserve one and get a table company to supply the table in the room. You'd have to have someone monitor it so that nothing destructive goes on.

We could do that but Allen might be able to get us a good deal on a room that we might not otherwise get ourselves. We'll also need to coordinate through him to get a table set up in the room. He may also be able to find us something closer to where the action is instead of in the hotels (that's what I'm hoping for anyway) We'll see what Allen says first and go from there. Thank you for sending the email for us. ;)

Thought since it is only a week or so away, I would pipe in to see if anyone else has decided to go to the Expo - this will be my first visit and I am pumped! Look forward to seeing Barb, Voodoo, and anyone else I haven't met before........

I will be there beginning Wednesday night until Sunday afternoon. I have played in the tournament that last 6 or 7 years.

I am looking forward to it again....
 
I will Be there wed thru sun. Ive gotta a little bit of gamble in me but i'm gonna be short on cash. Probably only have a couple grand on me which last year i felt was a little short. even though i never lost anything last year. hope to see a bunch of u guys there. good luck. i'm bettin on the breaker.ha

OMG!! This will be your first time?! Oh, that's right, you came from "out west"!

Well Girl, take it easy and try not to get too overwhelmed the first day!

I hope you're playing in the Women's Open event. From the "Who's who" list of players you knocked over at the Regional Tour Championships you've got a good take on that event!

I most definitely will be in the women's open - who could resist the challenge of single elimination with so many women - talk about do or die!! Anyway, be good and see ya soon!
