Valley Tournament

If you are referring to Vegas I will be there. Playing singles and competing in the world speed pool finals.

I'll be there for the Speed Pool finals as well, and my team is playing in the masters division. Looking forward to it, we managed to win the intermediate division last year and I'm gonna try and get a twin brother for that charlie this year. ;)

Where the BEST PLACE TO Go, Hopkins, or Las Vegas

I have never been to Big Pool Tournament, Shows, Vendor Fairs, Cue Expositions, and was wondering if I should save and try and go to the Hopkins Show in 2006 in PA.

Or try and get up to Las Vegas Next Week as it is only 5 hour or so away. The Greyhound Ticket price from Youngstown AZ to Las Vegas is not bad, and I am looking for some feedback I should go, or waitand save to go to PA in 2006?

Suggestion Apprieciated.
;)

SpinDoctor,

Where did you qualify for the speed pool at? What kind of times do you get? This is the first time I will ever witness, let alone, play in a speed pool tourney of this magnitude. I won speed pool at Junior Nationals the only time I ever tried.

My fastest time ever has been 42 seconds. At the qualifying event I had 3/6 racks under a minute. I dont know how good that is, but I am happy with it.

Hey Pugh,

I won the qualifying spot at our local league(wal-mac) city championships here in Edmonton. The had qualifiers during the week and a 16 man double elimination draw sheet with head to head matchups for the spot. My best times have been in the low-mid 40's but I think I can crack the 30's if the balls roll right.

Bruce,

I'm not sure what goes on at the BCA because I've never been to it, but this years VNEA should be a bunch of fun considering that its the 25th anniversary and they are looking to make a big celebration out of it. I have fun there every year and I'm hoping that this year is no exception.

Spin,

How many people will be competeing at the speed pool finals? I am assuming you have been there before. What kind of times does it take to win?

Thanx and I will see you there.

To be honest, I have no idea how many people will be competing this year because its the first year that it's pre-qualified entrants only. Most years it's a qualify on-site event with small cash prizes so it's never really interested me much, but with the 25th anniversary and all they've managed to get some nice prizes for it this year. I'm thinking that a great number of pool players will be disappointed that they haven't qualified when they see the Bayliner boat for first prize.

I'll be there with Fury Cues. Please come and visit us at the FURY EXPERIENCE. It was the biggest party at the BCA Championships last week. This week will be even better as we have learned a lot from last week.

We have a skybox overlooking the tournament with two pool tables, two massage chairs, a balcony with full view of the tournament room and plenty of cool new pool games to win cues and other stuff.

We have a team challenge where any team can put their name in for $20 and play Team Fury. If the chosen team wins against Team Fury they get $1000 worth of cues and recognition on the Fury Cues website. If they lose then they get $575 worth of cues and "recognition" on the Fury Cues website.

We kick the kids out at 7:00pm and party til midnight every night. On the final Friday of the tournament we have the team challenge and an AWESOME party with free food and drinks.

So, don't be the one who just hears about it, live it. SKY BOX 205 is where we will be.

I wouldn't go to the Fury booth if you were handing out free $100 bills. Fury ought to try to market a product themselves instead of stealing ideas and the Sledgehammer from Gulyassy.
