Value of Diamond Pro 9'

I personally believe its worth 3500. A used red label is for sale in Houston area for 2500, or there about. The table wont have the leveling system

I've never even seen one for sale within 2 hours of where I live. To me, it would be worth the asking price.

Thanks for this thread. Have wondered what the top swap involved and the cost.

The original color and grain look oak to me, rather than walnut. Don't mater, the cherry looks awesome.

I think its worth maybe a little less than what a used "full blooded blue" would be in your area. Only a little though, maybe 10%. The value in the Blue is the rail angle and cushions. The top swap make it effectively exactly the same.

Yeah, I think most of the early Diamonds were Oak. IMO, its the most hideous wood out there. The grain is way too overpowering. I hate it! But to each his own:)

The top swap in no way makes them the same. The real blue has a slate leveling system.

If it was me I’d be burning rubber to get that table for $3500.

Yes you are right, the leveling system is different. That might help the mechanic. But with what is there now, it should at least be as level as a GC. The top being new though is what the player will care most about and affect how the balls come off the rails.

Yes, I agree. The blue label has some nice features to help the pool table mechanic adjust it but they setup red labels for years and had no trouble. Once it's installed and setup then it should play and bank like a blue label which is what I really care about.

Thanks!

I found a Diamond pro 9'. it is one of their original tables but the guy paid Diamond last year to come out and make it a blue label table. Cherry top on walnut legs. Will need to be broken down and transported 6 hours.

Asking $3500. Worth it?
Haggle them down if you've inspected the table.

So I had a trip to Texas last week. The first room I went to has GC3. That table spit out more balls than a 4 1/8 Diamond. I couldn't wait till the other room opened and I drove cross town to play on those Diamonds

Offer 2,250 and meet somewhere in the middle. Nice table
I think low 2s is close to where it is worth.

I bought a brand new ProAm from Diamond (that i believe is more money than the Pro) with everything new, delivery, and set up by a Diamond mechanic for mid 6K (2 years ago).

IMHO a 30 year old frankenstein table shouldn't be worth over 2.5K.

If I could sell my table in 28 years and only lose 3K that would be amazing.

I think an important question would be... Is that a real cherry wood top or Dymondwood?

I have had them both and prefer the Diamondwood. Real cherry looks great but Dymondwood wears better.
