I have found a Ken Lane series cue by Porcupine and was needing a value on the cue. It is the Level 3 KL7 model. I have found some background info on the cue and Porcupine cues, but I haven't found a value on any. The cue was made in the mid 90's in Canada. Any info would be greatly appreciated. The cue looks to be in very good condition.

I have no pictures at this time.

Ken Lane pool cue

Hi Allen I have a Ken Lane with a Porcupine on the butt. I purchased it about 10 years ago from a dealer at a tournament for $300.00. My cue has 6 points and an Irish linen wrap, is that how your cue is made, I have been looking for a value for my cue to now because I have a couple people wanting to purchase it.

The quality of these cues really look like garbage.

As far as I can tell they are KAO made.

Back in the day Viking made them, as well as others I think.

Not these. I do not believe Ken made them.

Can you tell is this one looks like an Asian import, or if it looks better quality? The ones that I seen from the ebay ended auctions looked really lousy quality to me. I did not see this particular one though. The Viking connection sounds nice though. Thanks.

If that's the guy on FB Marketplace around Austin, he apparently bought some of the Porcupines and some labeled Ken Lane from Lane's son. He's OK to deal with. I've sold him a few cues.

Yeah, Austin Facebook marketplace. I am just looking for something decent, and as cheap as possible, because I am pretty broke these days, lol.

So, do you think it is an Asian import? The Porcupine cues I seen on ebay looked very poor quality to me, but not sure about this one.

Do you think it woukd be a decent player? Thanks.

I haven't seen that cue but based on his price and cues he's had listed in the past, he thinks it's decent. I'd say you could probably offer him like $150 - 175 and I believe he'd probably take it.

At one point, he had both 4 and 6 point versions of that cue but the others had the porcupine on them.

Thanks a lot. $150 is actually the number I had in mind, that I was considering offering.
