value on older McDermett?

My buddy asked me what he thought the value was in this old McDermett cue. To be honest I really don't know. Anyone?

Usually the old D series are worth about what they sold new. I'm guessing around 350 - 400 but with the case and extra shaft maybe 500 range?

McDermott currently shows that D-23 model cue made between 1984 and 1990 to have sold originally for $340 and lists a "blue book value" of $725 in new or perfect if not unused condition - my experience with blue book valued cues anyway. Just passing along information to help you asses the value of your friend's cue. Very nice hitting D series by the way

If we're my cue and o was trying to sell I would ask $ 500 and wouldn't take less than $ 400.00

thought you might want to know

That is the same model that Bob Vanover used when he ran the 9 racks
in the finals against Steve Smith to win the Texas Open. It was really 11
racks. He was in the losers bracket and had to beat Steve twice. He ran
the last 2 in the first match.
