About three weeks ago I picked up this fantastic cue from krbsailing to have as a bar beater.

To my shock, I freaking love this cue. It hits better than my six point (ebony forearm southwest), my cognoscenti and my old beater (a 25 year old plain as plain can be mcdermott one piece of bacote with a rubber bumper).

I've owned a ton of high end custom cues over the years and would just like to say that Mr. Varney really makes some fine hitting cues. This one is labeled 99', which I assume means 1999.

So for those of you that don't know, pick up a varney sneaky and you will thoroughly enjoy it.

Mr. Varney cue hits like a TON looks very simple, but yet is not a simple cue. He put all his knowledge and sweat into to build his cues. Excellent craftman and workmanship. I am waittin for Kevin to build my next cue. :D

I just decided to have Kevin build a cue for me and can't wait to get it.
Post some pictures since this IS a gallery. :D
mine is bocote into bem w/ hoppe ring and no bumper.
Needless to say I'll be putting pictures in the gallery as it progresses.

Kenny,
I may have KV send it to you for a leather wrap.

Ok, time for my plug for Kevin. ;)

I'll add to your post Kenny. In addition to everything you've said, Kevin is also extremely easy to deal with, and has always graciously answered any question I've had, no matter how trivial it may seem.

I've told Kevin this many times in the past:
In my job, I conduct business with companies that deal in the millions of dollars in production equipment and/or production contracts. Very rarely, if ever, do I see the kind of service, professionalism, and courtesy (from these people) that Kevin shows me. It's such a breath of fresh air to know that I don't have to worry about how the deal will be conducted and how the end product is going to be. I already know that it will all be top notch.

I am always willing to discuss my dealings with Kevin at any time. Through PM, email, or phone, it doesn't matter. Just get a hold of me and I'll be happy to talk to you about why I chose and will continue to do business with Kevin.

All of this is why I also chose Kevin to build my next cue for me. 4 pt veneered Coco/BEM, and like the rest of the posters in this thread, I can't wait to see it and to get my mitts on it! :D

WOW!!! I just saw this thread. Thank you everyone....thank you very much. And yes sir Maxeypad2007...you indeed own one of my very first, glad you like it. Before I made cues I owned and played with several SW, Cogs, and many more elite cues. This went a long way in learning how I wanted my cues to "hit".:)
