Varney j/b cue

Last Thursday I recieved my j/b cue and I could not be happier with Kevin's cue/service and newfound shot making ability that came with the cue. I have borrowed friends production j/b's before and after many unsucessful attempts I finally decided jumping balls wasnt for me.

I never would have believed that with Kevin's j/b that I'd be jumping balls the first night and by the third night I'd be jumping balls off my table into my lunchbox sitting on my couch 6-7 ft away!

I've always had a hard breakshot and can usually spread the balls out pretty good but it was hard to run a rack if I didnt get any balls in on the break with my 6 ball run making capabilities. Now I get a much better spread while making balls on the break and running racks is now very possible for me.

I have a new level of confidence now and I look forward to any chance I get to use my new j/b cue. I have not felt this good about my playing abilities in a long time. Thank you Kevin Varney!
 
varney jump/break cues!

i have heard a lot of stuff but i have never heard anybody griping about their varney cue! there are a lot of them in randolph's in hickory. i am sure something has happened somewhere with varney cues(you do know cuemaking is not a perfect science don't you???) but i just don't recall hearing about it. i don't own a jump/break cue yet but when i get through getting leather wraps for two cues and an ivory joint for another and maybe another case or two it may be time for a j/b cue. can not think of any i would rather have being made today(i have not shot with them all,okay?)

I have to say again that I am really pleased with my Varney J/B also.

I was practicing yesterday fooling around with 9 ball breaks and decided to try some soft breaks. Even with what felt like a very soft stroke I still got great ball action and was making a ball or more on almost every break but was able to control the CB.
 
My Varney j/b was just delivered yesterday. Top notch craftmanship. I was particularly impressed with where the jump joint was installed in the but. It was further back the my previous j/b. It gives that little extra grip when jumping balls. The canvas tip holds chalk well. And the finish is nice - not too glossy, not too oily. One regret, I should ordered a playing shaft for it as well.

Overall excellent experience working w/ Mr. Varney. I highly reccomend & endorse his work. Although,he could use some help in the shipping department! Just kidding Mr. Varney. Hope the Mrs. doesnt see this post. :D

Glad to hear you are happy Mike. Thank you for the kind words. Yes moving the j/b joint back is my idea...it really helps a ton with control.
