Yup, it drags the site down pretty bad. I try to get it up and running on weekends. What I really need to do is get into the code and set it to automatically come up in the evening and weekends and only show the menu option when it is available.

Aah, something else for the "to-do" list.

why not just replace the link on the vbchat to point to one of those free java chat pages that would run on a different server than yours? That way you won't have any overhead.
