Vegas on Thanksgiving. . .

WOW, that place looks amazing. I will definitely check it out. Still need to find a place to have thanksgiving dinner. In-Law's won't be in town so it's just me the wife and daughter, anyone have suggestions?

Bump. 3 weeks til thanksgiving...I can't believe it.

Looking for a nice place to have dinner with the wife and daughter. Any suggestions?

Find out where your rooms are...... Circus Circus has some motel 6 type outbuildings that are not attached to the casino and thet are very poor in my opinion. Pay a few bucks more and get into the main building otherwise

Bumpty. Flying out Wednesday night. Be in town Thanksgiving morning off the red-eye. :)

You should still check out the artisan's bar.

That is a cool place. I spent a Hangover like couple of days in that place once. Will never go back though because the owner/manger was a raging dick. Party I was with spent at least $2000 on room and booze and he knew it.

One of the girls with us came into the bar from the pool area and had a bag with a bottle of vodka in it they had had by the pool which was all good. This is in the afternoon and it was totally dead so we are sitting at the bar BS'ing. Manager guy walks by and sees the bottle in the bag and flips. Tells us to give the bottle to the bartender because its illegal to BYOB into a licensed bar. I tell him no problem we'll just take it to the room and leave the bar. He decides to turn into an uber***** and demanded we give the bottle to the bartender or he was calling the cops and kicking us out of the hotel. If the room was mine I would have told him to piss up a rope and kick me out but it wasnt. An argument ensued and since I didnt want to get in a fist fight over a $20 bottle of vodka we just gave it to the bar tender where I'm sure it ended up being used in some capacity. Bottom line is it ruined that place for me forever.

It is an old hotel that was turned into a boutique type place. The bar is busy as hell on the weekends and can be cool but like all of them in Vegas is retardedly expensive just not on the level of a strip casino club. It is off the beaten path as well. Decent place but lots of cooler shit to do in Vegas.

<-----will tell that story every time I hear about that place

+1000

I fell into that trap once during a May BCAPL Nationals trip. Sucks. Be sure you are in the main hotel and not the trailer park out back.

Found out we are in the main hotel. Thanks for the heads up on that guys. We actually WERE in the "trailor park" but we got moved over into the main hotel. Turns out they're not too busy thanksgiving night. ..surprise surprise. LOL

Where's the good places to stay in Vegas? Just wondering what people's opinions are. I haven't been there since I was young. Wife and I were looking at packages for various hote/casino's and I know you can get some good deals, just wondering if anyone has personal good/bad experiences.

I would recommend the Palazzo Hotel or the Wynn... me & bunch of friends hit Vegas twice a year to party it up & got the best service in those 2 hotel with nice view of the strips. since this your first time back to Vegas with your wife, I think you should spend some extra $$$$ on some nice hotel with your love ones.

Well, the family on her side had already paid for hotel at Circus Circus, the wife and I were looking into nice places, but it turned out they were just too far away from Circus Circus. . .and besides, the closer we are to her family, the more time THEY can watch our 4 year old while the wife and I hit the town. ;)

Believe it or not, one of the better steakhouses in town is right in that dump (Circus Circus). The Steak House is a really good place to get a nice steak.

Eric >or, you can go across the street to Cut @ Palazzo

actually Wynn or Palazzo is not that far from circus circus.... not for nothing., this is just my opinion. circus circus is a dump. take your wife to the Palazzo & she will love the place. they have one of the biggest room in vegas for a standard room. you will appreciate good quality room.
