I promissed an article on machinery by today, and I just don't have the time. Sorry for that. I will get on it in a few more days. I'll be back around the 25th. Please send in your questions about machinery and shop equipment, and what size floor space you need, and so on... Any questions.
thanks

I'll be there this Friday until Tuesday. My team didn't make it but my girlfriend's ladies team did. They're the Wild Things from Hamilton OH

Any advice re: places to go, places to eat etc.?

Eat?
Best cheap burger in town, In n Out. There's one near The Rio Hotel and ahem, Pink E's. Pool hall with GC tables covered with Liberace Pink cloth.
Best buffet, Rio, Treasure Island, Mirage, Caesars and Bellagio.
Wors buffet, Stardust and Circus Circus. Riviera's is ok not great.
Best cheap eats are in downtown area.
Places to go? Too many. Go to the Cue Club and see some hot action there next week. Look for Ken there. He plays good one hole action. Ken aka Rackmup is guilty of placing small dots in the walls to mark the "mirror" of the pockets. :D

Hey gang!

I'll be in Vegas at the Cuesight/Instroke booth. I would love to meet anyone from the board for recreational play - for nothing - for time - for burgers - or cheap action.

I am looking for cheap one pocket action if anyone is interested but I can only play really late at night. Gotta work the booth otherwise.

Hope to see y'all in Vegas.

John

Hi Blud,

I'll be there for the Gabriel's 9 Ball. There is very little known in Vegas about the Gabriel's tournament. I was there last week and none of the local "players" were aware of it. All knew of the APA being in Vegas.

Do you have Allen Hopkins e-mail address? The dates are listed as 8/19 through 8/22. A major tournament ending on Friday? Oh well.

After reading the posts about your cues, I'd like to stop by the booth in Vegas and say hello.

To other interested parties visiting Vegas, if your looking for great "cheap" Italian food, try Carluccios on East Tropicana or the Venetian on West Sahara. For breakfast, the Omelet House on West Charleston. The best buffets are the Bellagio and Paris. Rio is famous for it's seafood buffet.

No action? Visit Red Rock Canyon State Park at the end of West Charleston or, if your willing to drive an hour, Valley of Fire State Park off I - 15 is spectacular!!!

Need action? the Cue Club on West Sahara is the place. If Toby is there, you'll get all you want. Pool Sharks on South Decatur has Vince Tedesco & Trick Sixty. Walter Glass may also be there!

What's Vegas without Trick and Joe. I'll be there in addition to the Splash bar at the Riv.

The Rio for the sea food buffet is your best choice, get there early for good seating. It's about $35.00 per person and worth it!

Try the beef at Binion's Ranch in old Vegas.Take elevator to penthouse.

Hi Billy,

Thanks for the reminder about Binion's. I've been to Old Vegas so infrequently in recent years that I neglected to add it to my previous list!

First time I was there, I was standing with my face to the doors. Boy what a suprise when we left the casino level. Regardless, the food was GREAT.
