Vegetable Ivory

I don't think a lot of cuemakers have used the material. Just looking at those small round nuts and the band saw (to cut them up) sort of gives you the willies --- can see a finger or a flying object in the wrong place.

Yup, me too. I also like browsing around the local Lee Valley store :p

<edit> PS Lee Valley has a great customer service group, and they may be able to answer the question about finishing these nuts. The page suggests that they take dies well, which may add to their flexibility as an inlay material.

Corey, does your Sabre T ferrule material come in sheets?
If it cuts clean and is pearly white, it'd be nice as rings or inlays.

What kind of thicknesses & sheet sizes would you be looking for?

.125 thick or even .030 or .045" thick.
1 foot square maybe.
Might wanna talk to Tony in selling them as rings or inlay material too if they glue and hold finish well.
thnx

It will take some time, but I will look in to it.
