Veneer(re-cuts) and ringwork ideas on a cue design

Fresh start MOP circles in the silver rings. Ivory notched diamond or MOP circles. I like the notched diamond better without the window.
The diamond inside the box looks best to me. The mix of colored rings and dot rings is awkward. I like these better than the first drawing.

Mirror the S shapes..............and duplicate pattern with smaller dots for the rings in all 5 places.
I like that color of blue better than the turq........Azurite?

How much is our budget for this cue anyway? Getting a little away from the original thoughts. Fun though........

Yeah it is fun. No set budget really. Probably need to keep it under 1800. Shouldn't be a problem.

lol I'll see if I can cut and copy his S shape. Does look cool. I was also thinking of ditching the greenish yellow for Orange

I need his computer program. Even since seing what I'm doing and then looking at his 3D rendering. Only renders me jealous. Added a dark Blue veneer on the top butt. I kinda like it and it keeps the cue subtle. I think it'd look better on the points thant he greenish yellow. Then I shrunk the MOP in the ringwork.

Your cue rendering blew me away! I use 3D CAD to make my living and have about 20 years of experience and would love to know what program you are using to do that.

I love the design you did, even though I hate blue on a cue. I also noticed that you have a black stained birdseye with ebony inlaid... which makes for a nice variance of textures and grains...

Actually, it reminds me of my Richard Black cue a bit...

I've never seen it done, but what would you think of turquoise dots in the rings.I think it would compliment the dots in the forearm nicely. Don
Here is the variation you suggested

Thank you for your complementory words, I am using Autodesk Inventor. In regards to the black on black I was shooting for ebony over dark brown blackwood.

Barenbrugge I will try and do those mods some time tonight and I will post the pics.

No problem.........think we could get those before breakfast? Oh, wait it is Sat..........OK, make that lunch!

Thanks for all your help......

That is just amazing.
Here is what I think is 90% finished. I got rid of he railroad track look for double silver rings with the smaller MOP circles. Then Ivory notched diamond and Ivory in the "S" shaped circles. Then I added Veneers below the ring and right under the joint ring. I stole your S shape look because I love it, hopefully you don't sue lol.

Those renderings look awesome. I think you could earn some nice money just making those. Post a couple up as a seperate thread, if you're at all interested off course. Even the grain in the blackwood looks good.

Dave <- stunned.

Yup. That's the best.
Geeeeeez...those are nice renditions.

That last rendering looks awesome. Best one so far regarding design and symmetry. If you wanted to bring the turquoise back into the picture, you could fill in the inner most (gray) window with turguoise around the ivory diamonds designs. Or you could make all the ivory diamonds turquoise in the cue. I would get a black lizard skin wrap inplace of linen. I might even slip in a white point between the blue and gray ones to add some "pop" to each of the points.

Great idea's and one awesome cue.

Actually this rendering has helped a lot. I've decided to leave everything as it is but I won't be notching the diamonds. I think without the notches it'll look much cleaner. I'm pretty satisfied with how it looks. CC does amazing work doesn't he!!!!!!
