I have just about zero interest in trick shots no matter who is doing them. However I do understand it takes a lot of effort and dedication to do this type of display. It obviously has entertainment value but not for me.

When you consider that it probably bolsters his marketing strategy, and adds cheddar to his bank account, I'd hardly consider that pointless.

Sure ... it all benefits him .... jumping several inches in the air has 0 benefit for any pool situation ... its a reach just to have a Guinness World Record for a situation that never happens. seems Guinness World Record should at least be meaningful ..

I wouldn't call a Guinness World Record pointless. Pretty sure no one on this forum has one. Impractical? In a regular game of pool, yes. But this isn't regular pool.

I was on a team that briefly held the world record for the world's longest underwater monopoly game.

It was fun. Something to do. You could accept it for what it is or shit all over it. Depends on what kind of person you are.

The fact is that humans keep track of stuff like that. It's part of the human condition.
