Verl Horn Cues

I have two original Cues made by the late Verl Horn. Verl made these cues for me (I am his grandson). The first one made in 1978 comes with a white smooth hard leather case, Ivory inlayed, 19 1/2 oz. Irish linen wrap Native appearance Excellent Condition.

second one made in 1979 is Mother of Pearl and Ivory, Multi-color inlayed, Irish linen wrap with 2 stainless steel joint shafts in red Eel hard leather case- mint condition.20-1/2 oz.

Please make an offer. These are collectors items, both are Custom Cues

Accepting offers, and no lowballers, really doesn't work for those who have ZERO idea the worth of these cues. I mean, an offer of $1K might be a lowball offer, or $2K, $3K, etc....no idea. Always best to give an asking price, and just because one doesn't know the value of the cue, doesn't mean they might not pay your asking price....:cool:
 
I'm interested inn both cues, not so much the cases. Shoot me a price. There is lots of info out there about your grandfathers cues. Also, lot's of historical sales and no sales to see. Verl made one of the best hitting cues I've held, TONS of ivory too! I bought it for less than $1,100 and sold it for even less.

Every part of these cues jumps out at Ya-

Look at those shafts,(look at where the taper begins )the Original wraps, ivory- Micarta joint-the points and veneers. Somebody will be very proud to own these. Its hard to really tell but I will guess Parabolic Tapers(shafts and butts) I could be wrong ,they look like customs,which demand Premium Prices on top of coming from the family/with authenticity . Mark

What? Are you saying a custom taper job brings a higher resale price than other VH's???
 
They are both great cues but that second one and case have my eye, juast wish i had the cheese......
