Very Fancy Original Balabushka

Your right but I think you mean a few "thousandths".., several hundredths is more than a quarter inch... 50 thou dif is pretty easy to feel for sure.. A few hundredths WOULD make it feel more like Louisville..lol

I guess it depends on your definition of a few. I was thinking of 4 or 5 hundredths, which is a lot less than a quarter inch. We would need 25 hundredths to equal a quarter inch, right? (25/100 = 1/4)

Maybe you were thinking a few tenths, rather than a few hundredths? It would only take a few of those to get to a quarter inch, if 2 to 3 is a few.

Definitely agree with you that 50 thou is easy to feel. That would be 5 hundredths, or right in line with what I was referring to by a few hundredths.

You were talking thousands too so I assumed you meant ".100" ".200" ".300".... I get ya... For machining we talk in thousandths...

Yep, we're on the same page.

For curiosity, I wonder if Skierlawyer could measure that beautiful Bushka in the middle of the wrap and at the end of the buttplate to see how they compare with a lot of today's cues.

I did that decades ago with some Bushkas and Rambows I was able to handle, but didn't keep records and don't quite remember what they were. Just curious food for thought.

I would guess it'd be around 840-5 at the joint and 1.3 maybe slightly bigger at the cap straight taper.... Actually I prefer those dimentions... I like big butts and I can not lie

I am with you. In fact, those would be the measurements of my 70s cues, Joss, and Palmer. The more current Richard Black and Jerry -R- are very close as well. I have to agree that a bigger butt feels better in the hand.

Never noticed this thread before and never been much of a GB fan but this cue is very, very special.

The only thing missing is the history, where has it been, who had it, who played with it, etc?

Congrats on a great acquisition.

You should go hang out at McDonalds.Plenty of them there,

I think one of the coolest things about this cue is the black acrylic used in the sleeve. I like it better than ebony...
