Very Untrustworthly Seller Here...

please explain in a bit more detail to me, a newbie to the sport, what the misleading part is and how you were able to spot it so that I don't fall prey to something like this.

Clearly he doesn't know sh1t. Says merrywidow all over yet there is not a merrywidow to be seen anywhere. He must be thinking a plain Jane house cue conversion is a merrywidow.

Looks like what he is saying is that the conversion cue is a Prewitt...you are all correct, it IS very confusing, at best. Not a merry widow, for sure. I sent a message asking if the cue had any logo or ID on it...have not heard back yet.

Jesus. I just read that whole description. What a clown. Love the part about owning all the top brands!! Someone copy that bs before he pulls the auction.

So the odd thing is that I just saw that Prewitt cue in the picture yesterday, and the guy on ebay it is NOT the guy that had that cue. Of course it could have been bought from him elsewhere. But he also could have just gotten the pictures off the internet and is trying to sell a cue he does not own.

The guy that is selling a Prewitt with ivory is Cleiton Rocha here on AZ.
I saw that cue in person and can assure everyone that cue is here in MA and Cleiton is the rightful owner of it as of now.
Not sure what is the deal with fellow on ebay but, if he should be careful with posting pictures.

Ebay Sellers

He is advertising the auction as a ED Prewitt but he is not selling the EP cue. Just saying the title is very mis-leading.

Caught your attention and now you are talking about it. What was the proper way of writing a title?

Most experienced sellers will often put words in the title so they can get more exposure.

I do it all the time. I sell cheap production cues and put the word Custom in the title. If I didn't, NO ONE would ever see my cues.

His description clearly states he is only selling the one cue.

Why people on here like to bash Ebay sellers boggle my mind. Every day on this site, I see people selling used cues for retail prices. Or, I see someone list a cue for $1,000 then a week later sell for $500.

I've seen one really known person on AZ sell cue cases for $49 each...and he bought them off Ebay for $15 each. He had a heck of a write up on AZBilliards and had happy customers. So don't think everything on AZBilliards is just all peachy.

I just don't get the whole ebay vs. AZBilliards thing. My first purchase on AZBilliards was the worst in my life. One of the biggest liars or just plain stupid seller.

It is my cue and its awesome. Thanks.

Are you saying that the cue the ebay person is offering for sale is your cue and in your possession? So the ebay seller does not have the cue to sell?

I sent a question to the seller. Here is the response:

Dear redwards765leo,

Is the conversion an Ed Prewitt conversion? Did he mark it or sign it anywhere for ID? I just wanted to be sure that it is a Prewitt cue.

Dear bamacues,

I bought the set of cues together, both the ivory as well as the merry widow. The Ivory cue has the engraved ep logo on the butt plate. There is no visible identification on the Merry Widow, However, I removed the rubber Bumper from the butt plate to see if the weight could be adjusted and found a simple EP hand written where the threads would be if the weight could be adjusted. I have no reason to believe the cues have different builders.

Cleiton has the ivory EP cue, I just saw it yesterday. I was thinking that the seller used Cleiton's pic without him knowing it, Cleiton though I meant it the other way around LOL. They ebay seller just looks to be selling only the plain cue (house conversion?) and just used a very vague description, along with posting a picture with the fancy one, which caused this whole mess :-)

The guy is a quite the salesman.
A little misguided, but I like the part about the reserve:

This cue will be sold Auction Style to the highest bidder. If you Know the name Ed Prewitt Then you Know the Value of this cue
and I have set the reserve to both, maintain the value of his work , and give the buyer an incredible opportunity to own this cue at a very reasonable price.
Happy Bidding and good luck.
