Davis pocketed a ball but the 8 is tied up between two of Hatch's balls.
 
Looks like the 8 will go by Hatch's balls into the right corner pocket... Mike has left himself with too much angle on the next shot to really get on the 8 like he wanted.
 
Jacked up over a couple of balls, half a table length from the 8 on a possbile scratch shot... Mike made a great shot!

I know but 8 AM comes awfully early and we got stuck down watching the money tables until 4 AM :eek:

Nice case of Fat Head on the ride home...
 
Hatch made a good break but he's got one ball surrounded enough by the solids that he only has a 2 inch window if that, to get shape..
 
He missed the window, made a tough cut into the corner and the cue ball came back 3 rails and found the 2 inch window. WOW
 
Mike pockets a ball and nothing is tied up but they're tight... 5 balls came past the side pocket..... He's got to stay in line to be able to get out from here.
 
Mike played it beautifully but the cue kicked one of Hatch's balls out and now he's hooked on the 8.... he made a good hit but didn't pocket the ball.
 
Hatch missed a straight in shot but the cue dead center of the table and the 8 ball is a hair left of the center diamond on the end rail.... Mike missed the bank shot. :(
 
Hatch runs out to take the 1st set.

I hate to do this but Eydie & Bob have to leave....no more updates until I get home. :(
 
Eydie called me from the airport. Hatch won the final set hill-hill for first place.

Mike was up 4-1 in the 2nd set & scratched on the break. Hatch won the next 3 games. Hill Hill Mike came came up dry on the break and Hatch got out.

Mike's game was on... Scratching and coming up dry on the breaks was what cost him the 2nd set. :(
