Corey just made a crucial miss and has left Dennis an easy run-out.

Dennis is advancing with a nice 3 ball out.

Souquet beat Mika in 2 straight sets.

Koop

Davis is on the hill 4-3 against Putnam on the 2nd set & he just hooked himself.

Petroni & Williams are tied 1-1 on the 2nd set. Petroni won the 1st set.

Mike made a good hit but left Shawn a shot. Shawn didn't capitalize on it though. He missed a shot & left Mike out.... Mike just won the set 2-0 & Shawn goes over to the one loss side.

Shawn will play the winner of Williams & Petroni.

Petroni is up 2-1

10:30 matches are....

Davis vs Hatch for the hot seat

Deuel vs Souquet

Putnam vs either Williams or Petroni. Right now Petroni is up on Williams 3-2 in the 2nd set.

Rodney it was a pleasure meeting you. Sorry I didn't get to meet your wife. Hopefully the next time!

Speaking of wives.... I had the pleasure of meeting CrownCityCorey's wife... wow! Not only is she beautiful but she's very sweet. Good job Corey! ;)

TIMBERLY Congrats on TEN GREEN BOXES !! Great job on reporting:) :) :) :) :)
Thanks Joey

Petroni defeated Williams and will play Putnam in a few min

Hatch is up 2-1 against Davis in the 1st set

Souquet is up 3-1 against Deuel in the 1st set

Shawn won the lag but came up dry on the break.... again. His break is really hurting him tonight. He has a strong break but it's not working for him tonight.

Petroni, Putnam, Hatch, & Davis are dressed in all black. ScottR says you have to wear black to make it in the finals.... Deuel has on an orange sweater & Souquet is in a blue polo shirt....Koop says they're doomed! :D

Souquet is on the hill 4-1 against Deuel in the 1st set

Davis & Hatch are tied at 2-2

Petroni is up 1-0 against Putnam

Sounds like a pretty talented field, I'm glad to see them playing eight ball this year.
There's always a very strong field at this event.

This is my 1st pro 8 ball event... as a spectator I'm a little torn... It's tougher to watch multiple matches. If you're watching one match & look over at another where the player is standing at the table contemplating their shot, you don't know what they're contemplating...stripes or solids? I don't mind the 8 ball event so much, it's just tougher to stay on top of multiple matches.

The format is a brutal from a players standpoint with the one game playoff. You can win 5-0 one set and lose the 2nd set 5-4. You're up 9-5 and if you lose the sudden death game, you lose the match.

Davis is up 3-2

Petroni is up 2-1

Putnam tied it up 2-2 and it's his break... hopefully he'll pocket a ball on the break...

Putnam pocketed two balls on the break and doesn't have anything tied up. He should be to get out from here.

Davis & Hatch are at 3-3

Souquet just won the 1st match 5-1 against Deuel

Shawn was out but hit his last ball too hard & he froze himself up against another ball & doesn't have a clean shot on the 8. He's going to have to kick at it and it's not close to a pocket so pocketing it off of a kick shot is going to be very difficult. Shawn is really good with the diamond system & kicking but at best I think he's only going to get a good hit on this one.

Davis just made a great cut shot on the 8 ball into the side pocket to get on the hill 4-3 against Hatch in the 1st set.

Putnam missed the 8 by a millimeter to give Petroni bih. It's not an easy out but it's a doable out. He had to break out two balls and left himself tough.

Petroni ran out that game, broke the next, pocketed a ball & then scratched on his next shot. Putnam has to capitalize on this to stay alive...

Davis just won the 1st set 5-3 against Hatch

Putnam had two different balls tied up. He broke out the 1st one and just broke out the 2nd one but left himself difficult.... he made the shot & got shape...

The 8 ball was tied up on another ball & Putnam just made a helluva shot on the 8 in the side pocket to tie it up 3-3.

Souquet is up 1-0 in the 2nd set against Deuel

Putnam comes up dry on the break again.... there's a couple of different clusters on the layout though.....

Souquet just went up 2-0 against Deuel

Petroni just ran out to get on the hill 4-3 against Putnam

Hatch is up 1-0 in the 2nd set against Davis

Souquet is up 2-1 against Deuel on the 2nd set

Petroni didn't pocket a ball on the break. The layout isn't a roadmap but Shawn should be able to capitalize on it.

Putnam ran out to tie it up hill hill against Petroni... It's Putnam's break....
