I started a thread earlier today called How to gamble at the DCC. I talked to a handful of guys about matching up and said I would put some video up of me.

I'm here to make new friends and now you should be able to recognize me between my avatar and this video if you are at the DCC come up and say hi maybe we can match up.

This was the shortest video that I had of myself shooting and I figure it's good cause these shots show nothing about speed as they require no shape whatsoever.

I'm a 6 in TAP so I guess I'm about a C player and I don't claim to be good in comparison to most of the guys on this site. I want to match up with guys around my same rating.

Anyway this is me putting myself out there. Introducing myself to AZ. Feel free to flame if you must. :)

Your an "A" player at wing shots. Very good. Johnnyt

cool video, its kind of a specialized thing that looks cool, may not help you run out too much, but you might be able to impress a date!

I saw Minnesota Fats do 8 wing shots in a row at the end of his video and then he calls the ninth one 3 rails and fires it in.

There are definitely two schools of thought on wing shots and one school is adamant that these shots are useless.

I think it was Phil Capelle that suggested shooting some and I think it had to do with becoming a "feel" player. Can't remember though.

Earl shoots that shot as well as anyone, probably better. He sometimes shoots the last one behind his back.

I can't do it behind my back. I don't shoot well behind my back period. The best I did was making 5 in a row on my friends 5x10 snooker table.

Earl seems like a pure feel player and it doesn't surprise me that he shoots the eyes off of them. Would love to see some video of him doing it.

Not bad. Not bad. I've never had that one come up in an eight ahead set, but that is not bad, my friend.

Yeah I just saw Earl do that shot last weekend on a 9 foot diamond it was awesome. The other stroke shots he was hitting were amazing.

This video of Earl Strickland is the coolest video I've ever seen. Worried Beef you are the man for finding this. Watch til the end when Earl is doing the sweeping motion on the table.

I used to think the part in the Color of Money when they are playing "Werewolves of London" and Tom Cruise is doing the stop shot out and the crowd is cheering like crazy was unrealistic. Well this video of Earl and the way the crowd is going nuts gives Tom Cruise's scene the orange crush.
