Video evidence that Cyclop is garbage

CJ how do you plan to help pool and when will this start developing to a point where the public will notice. Are any pros involved with these plans?

We do appreciate everyone's support on this forum, it's like the Pledge of Allegiance

OK. So what part of this:

"There's so much wrong with the way the game is presented now that there's little hope of it improving without a complete overhaul.....the old attitudes must die, so new ideas can be born - virtually every change I've seen in the last few years have been detrimental to the integrity of the game, it's fans (what few are left) and the professional players (100% of this post is about professional pool, not amateur or leagues, they are doing fine). "

is an anology and should not be taken literally?

And again I say stop talking and start doing. And by the way, that is not an anology and was meant to be taken literally.

The analogy was about giving the game "a complete overhaul" - this analogy was used to represent when a car has it's engine completely blown and needs a "complete overhaul".

My analogies aren't fancy, I presumed everyone knew what an engine overhaul was. Sorry if it wasn't obvious enough, I'll try something different to express that point in the future.....maybe the game needs to be "born from above," or something like that.

Also, I'm not talking, I'm writing, and I have been "doing" for quite awhile. These things aren't accomplished overnight, so far, no one in history has been able to do it, so please have patience.

We do appreciate everyone's support on this forum, we couldn't have reached this point without each and everyone one of you. It's like the Pledge of Allegiance, it stars with "I" and ends with "ALL".

I'm willing to accept whatever happens, if it doesn't work, I at least tried my best

I actually got the "green light" last night to make the presentation, which will be sometime next week. This is a serious business project, and as many of you know, all the legal work has to be in place.....and a specific, comprehensible, business plan must be in order. I've been involved in developing Private Placement Memorandums required for restaurants, and nightclubs, however, this one takes a unique type of expertise that I'm having to learn.

The good news is this is the moment I've been working towards for the last two decades of my life. I'm willing to accept whatever happens, if it doesn't work, then I can go to my grave knowing I at least tried. I have plenty of other opportunities that have developed recently, however, I respect "my Teacher" enough to stay focused on achieving this particular goal.

the comradery in the pool world is awesome

Good Luck with your presentation C.J., hope all goes well !!! :D

Thanks, that means a lot my friend, the comradery in the pool world is awesome. It seems like everyone wants pool to be catapulted into the public spotlight. All signs point to this happening in the next few months.....of course only time will tell.

The spirit of friendship is what made wresting so HUGE, if they can do it, we can as well.

I read a recent article about how boxing promoter Al Haymon is spending $20 million to bring boxing back into the spotlight again and his strategy, and thoughts on what will be required to bring boxing back, is very similar to what you, and I, have been saying will work for pool. T.V., exposing fans to and building characters, story lines, grudge matches (Shane vs. Darren, not Shane as the best) etc.

His model will be based on a formula that has worked cor mma he said. His target is the 18 to 35 yr olds. A target pool needs imo. Right now Big truck seems to me to be the promoter heading down the right track. He has much room to grow but I like that format with some tweaking.

Boxing has potential imo and so does pool. Fights such as Mayweather/Pacquiao show that boxing can draw. The events generate emotion and the atmosphere of a professional fight make them fun to attend or watch (something pool needs).

However focus in boxing tends to be more focused on one promoted fight rather than story lines tieing the sport together. Boxing is a mess with so many governing bodies and organizations cross promoting and fighters not being promoted plus fighters can pick and choose who they fight or wont fight without consequences due to a lack of leadership looking out and promoting a sport or organization that fans can follow rather than one quick pay day then another. With mma fans know many more fighters, many more story lines, and they have a clearer view of whats going on with a more recognizable ranking system that fans can follow without clutter.

The sport of boxing currently is way behind the sport of mma when it comes to an overall fan following. That is not to say that they cant put together big events though. One thing both sports have right though is that the money originates with the fans. It comes from the fans, then with the fans come the sponsors, etc.... more money. If focus in pool became generating fans then everyone benefits... the players, the promoters, the sponsors, the whole industry. Right now there are too many promoters using a model that is boring to watch, boring to attend, and genrates money from the players playing. Pool will never grow like that imo.

Not to drive this further off topic, but boxing still blows MMA out of the water when it comes to gate, PPV sales, and TV ratings. NBC recently had a boxing card that destroyed the UFC ratings on their main network Fox cards the last three years.

Back on topic, took my traditional Cyclop set to play league last night. Zero complaints, zero roll outs witnessed.ig anything, I've received nothing but compliments on them.

I will say that Mayweather/Pac will blow anything the UFC has done out of the water that is for sure. No one promotes his fights better than Mayweather but that is just Mayweather not boxing in general.

PBC on NBC (Haymons new org I spoke of earlier copying mma's model) did good in their first show on NBC but it is brand new. They also had an awesome card with Broner/Molina and Thurman/Guerro. The numbers will drop for sure. The numbers were also about half of the UFC's first card on Fox was so if you want to compare then going by that is more reasonable comparison.

PBC will be good for boxing but I still say the UFC has more hardcore fans who follow the sport than Boxing does and in a year from now it still will. Not that I really care though since none of the money is reaching my pocket.

NASCAR also has a good business model, as does the WWE
