I was practicing jumpshots using english yesterday and happened to bring my camera. Basically, the object ball is on the end rail and I'm jumping over a ball and using right english to spin the OB across the rail. The video is only 3 shots, one from the first diamond (pretty easy), one from the middle diamond (fairly difficult), and one from the far diamond (this one kinda takes the cake). I know I lose cool points for scratching on the first shot, but take it easy on a C player. Here's the link:

at first I was like "wtf normal jump shot" but then I realized these are railfirst kicks with lots of sidespin in addition to the jump. For this who passed over the link... this is actually pretty tough stuff =0
 
Yeah, the first one was a very decent shot, but the last one...

Man, that was a thing of beauty :)
 
Pretty f@$#in' sporty. Would you shoot it that way for the cash? Play safe? Kick? You'll lose customers firin' em in THAT way. Cool...though.

the ball going in is actually computer graphics all the way lol. Also the ball he jumped wasn't really there.

Seriously tho, probably edited for time, he knows nobody wanted to see him try and miss. If anyone did that to me in a money game I dunno if I'd quit 'em cuz they're too good or bet higher cuz they seem fond of gonzo shots.
 
If your a C player when your actually playing real pool, maybe you should consider going into the artistic side of pool, seems like you have a knack for it.

I edited them becuase like the other guy said, nobody wants to see missed shots. I made the first two fairly quickly 'cause if you listen to the background music on the jukebox, the same song is playing "No Woman No Cry". The third one took a few tries to make. If you can set those 3 shots up and make them on 3 attempts, I'd love to see a video.:eek:

at this point i don't think i can even dream about ever getting close to making anything like that, but that last one was just insane!

I'd like to try to make it next Sat., but if I do I'll be to late to play in the tournament 'cause I gotta work till 7:30. Do you have my number?
 
You can see the edits during the shots.if i am wrong you can jump well.I am a great jumper and can jump with spin but the last shot is a 1 in 500 shot.

Bad rep for questioning Opies authenticity. He never said he made them consecutively without misses in between.

Maybe just a poor quality camera or something. I see what you mean but during the 2nd shot, the guy walking outside in the background only gains about 1 step when the video jumps and appears to be edited. If he disappeared off the frame I'd wonder a little more, but if that were the case I don't think he would've posted the video. :D
