Video of me shooting. Clearly using CTE....

This is a short clip of me practicing some 9ball and only 1 rack. This is the end of an hour+ video that I recorded. I could only upload this part because it was the smallest section and the rest would take hours to upload because of the good quality. The other 2 sections are 30mins long and I don't know how to turn them down to upload on Youtube.

If anyone knows how to turn the quality down and make the video smaller please let me know and I'll upload more. I just wanted to show everyone that I'm clearly using CTE to pocket these balls....

Gatz:

"Clearly using CTE to pocket these balls"? I don't know, you have me fooled. You get behind each object ball, every shot, seemingly to line it up to the pocket, which is usually a dead-ringer for ghostball or CP-to-CP technique.

Anyways, other than the "nice out" perspective of this rack (which I do offer you a "nice out!" compliment), there's no instructional value to this video. I don't mean that maliciously, honest. You don't say a word throughout the video; it'd be nice if you spoke and you said something like, "here I'm sighting up the CTE line; the cut to the pocket is greater than a half-ball hit, so I'm going to initially line to the outside of the cue ball, and then pivot inwards to the center of the cue ball..." Something like that. We have enough "here's proof I'm using CTE to pocket these balls and these very tough shots" silent videos to last us a lifetime here.

Obviously, in a pool hall, your ability to do this is limited.

Again, there's no evidence in this video that you're "clearly" pocketing these balls using CTE. The actions you do actually indicate the contrary (e.g. getting behind each object ball to sight its line to the pocket).

But again, I do offer you a "nice out" compliment!

Regards,
-Sean

You earned a GREENIE! looks like a very nice pool room.

If you don't get busy with some chipping hammers and zinc chromate pretty quick that rust bucket is going to sink in situ.

Nice shooting but CTE is not apparent to me. I see that you are left handed and I would guess that you are right eye dominant. Is that correct?

Yes Dave, that is correct. I know it's retarded lol. I'm actually right handed but play left. I also can only use the Rake right handed (don't ask) lol.

I was only kidding about using CTE guys ;). Just was kinda making fun of it, thats all. :D

Ah Gatz, you're a funny guy! Lots of us knew something was up with this one. Although it's way past the month of April -- 'tis not some belated April Fool's joke, is it?

Anyway, you got us. One thing, though -- for me personally, I'm interested in CTE, only to know *how* it works, i.e. how it arrives at the correct GB position. Being a math/science major, this kind of stuff interests me, even if I never end up using CTE. I personally have never made fun of it. I only get raspy with those that spew these incredible claims of how it'll bring just about anyone up "x" number of balls in their play, or how it will become the grand equalizer between pro level play and the average Joe.

About your unique situation with being right-eye dominant but a left-handed player (i.e. opposite eye dominance), yet you play shots with the bridge with your right hand. Did you know Mike Sigel does *precisely* this? You're in good company, that's for sure!

Thanks for the laugh,
-Sean

Opposite handed eye dominance is fairly common. I know a small handful of pretty good pool players who are such.

Whoa, that's weird, you're the exact opposite of me. I'm left handed but naturally play right handed and I use the rake left handed. I'm right eye dominant, though. I don't have any company though, do I?

Oh, only kiddng. I thought that was you in the back ground shooting. There's a lot of CTE going on there.

Nice out. On a couple of shots you had a bit of lifting up/head movement, the first one especially. You could do without that because you seemed still on majority of other shots. No need for a system cause you obviously know your way around the table.

Dammit, you got me.
