It can also be played as a pool shot. Put the three ball on the cushion and the nine ball in the far corner jaws. It takes a fast table and the ability to leave the cue ball spinning in place in spite of all the side spin and power.
For those who can't quite see the setup on the video, here it is for pool: Put the nine in a foot corner pocket. Freeze the three ball to the same cushion on the head string. Put the cue ball down for about a 30-degree cut to the nine, but shoot straight at the three with side spin towards the cushion and hit the three ball absolutely full and without follow or draw. The three ball should come off the side cushion and hit the foot rail close to the diagonally opposite pocket and then return to hit the cue ball which is still spinning in place. The spin will carry the cue ball around to the nine.
If someone is willing to try this shot, give them no more than 20 tries. Maybe 15 on a carom table.

A "set up shot" my foot! You've got to shoot a stop shot with precision and have the white sit there spinning like crazy.

It was pretty good, but I've seen some INSANE shots before.
