I had nothing (or much) to do at work and I made a couple of short videoclips for people to watch. Despite not being a narcissist, the clips only include me and my ugly and ineffective stroke not to mention my "lumpy" figure :)

One file with a clumsy 9-ball runout, one file with 3 break shots with lousy cueball control and one file where I manage to run 7 in 1-pocket (couldn't see enough of the 8th ball, that #"¤$£ing ball ! Oh, the 1-hole run was done in a real small-stake match against a very good player Markus Juva, who actually plays at the WPC right now...

Any comments or thoughts gladly accepted... but keep the humiliation level rather low, please ? :D

Great runout or a great job of editing. I am kidding of course. This is a very good idea you've come up with. Using this format would be great for explaning shots, It would be a great side kick to use with the WEI Pool Table. Here's a suggestion. Setup up your stroke on the CB about 1/4 tip to the right and see if you start hitting the rack square. In your videos, the CB always pops off to the right of the rack

This could be the start of something here on the AZ forum, maybe we could have a section where members can post instructional videos and maybe we can vote on which ones to keep (because they would take up alot of space) and we could have more people post videos of themselves playing and the other members can offer their praise and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism also. What do the rest of you guys and gals think.

Miko,
I watched the 9 ball break and run. Were you playing for money? It looked like the spectator (?opponent?) in the background got up and left when you just had 4 balls left. If he was sharking you it didn't appear to be very successful.

Thanks for your comments.

Williebetmore: no, it wasn't a money match. I doubt many players would want their money matches taped, excluding top pros. Some people claim that they are camera-shy and underperform always when in front of cameras.

I set up the whole camera system to analyze my own technique and stance and I found many things to improve. It has been a real eye-opener. Especially on some shots I had very negative thoughts and on some shots very positive thoughts and I was able to check if they really effect my stance or stroke. And yes, they did, but less than I thought.

I recommend warmly if you have a chance to videotape your own play. You look different on the table compared to the image in your head.

I look more handsome than I thought :p
