First off, Ill adopt the Tad and take care of it until its 18th birthday if you want, for no charge for room and board at all. Does the cue have a weight bolt in it, if so you can likely change it to a lighter one to give the cue more of a forward balance. Paul Dayton cues have a unique forward balance to them that sort of feel like the cue is weightless when playing. I cannot talk about th others though.ock said:got my tad from jj america...the normal zebra wood tad...hits really stiff and solid... just that it is too well balanced... i prefer forward balance cues that shoman and lambros claim to have...

ock said:regular cue balance is 47-50 from butt cap...but the showman is 52...so i pressume it is forward balance... any info on shoman cues? they are quite highly priced and it does not seem to be very popular in the players scene...am i right to say that? i want to know about the hit before i commit as i will be using it as my playing cue...

Centimeters maybe???zeeder said:What do you mean by 47-50 and 52? If that's the percentage of rear weight then it's a little off. The average balance point is around 18" from the butt which would be about 31%, on a 58" cue that is.
I doubt Lambros would ever claim to have a forward balanced cue.ock said:got my tad from jj america...the normal zebra wood tad...hits really stiff and solid... just that it is too well balanced... i prefer forward balance cues that shoman and lambros claim to have...

I have owned 6 Showman's and would still have them today if not for the IRS.I still have one and it plays jam up.His cues seem to balanced about 2"above the wrap. The cues feel like a Szamboti as far as balance, definetly not butt heavy.ock said:i am not ery sure with that though... i might have made a mistake... anyreviwews on showman?

cuedoctor said:I have one i have been playing with for almost a year and Love it(It never leaves the house and is mint).Hit is subjective but I have played just about every kind of high end cue made and would say it plays right there with any and it looks good and plays good which is not always the case in all cues. Here are some photos,it was featured in billiard digest may 2006.PM me any questions
If anyone could open these photos and reload so they apear it would be apreciated, thanks
