Viking Double Thread joint

This stainless steel joint is on a Viking cue I ordered back in '04.
I'd like another shaft but Viking no longer offers this joint.
The butt and shaft are both 31".
I'm thinking of having a shop machine an adapter, allowing me to use another shaft with standard threads.

The OD of the shaft thread is 0.619
The OD of the butt thread is 0.315
The OD of the pin is 0.262
I don't know the thread pitch

I've been looking at the Viking Whyte Carbon shafts. They offer a 31" with several joints to choose from. Is is possible to use one of the 5/16" joints without having an adapter made?

Also, they offer a choice of balance forward or balance rear. The balance point of my original shaft is 10.5" from the joint face, and weighs 3.9oz. Is that rear or forward?

Thank you very much. I typed it in and just read your earlier thread on this.
Would I need an adapter for a shaft with 5/16 x 18 threads?
It looks like there are plenty of threads, but is there room for the pin?

Inner threads go deep. The outer 5/8 sticks out about .380

What I meant to ask is, will a shaft with a standard 5/16 x 18 joint screw directly onto my cue? With no adapters?
Normally I would say Yes but yours is the first super joint I've seen with the quick release 5/16x18 so you would have to measure the smooth shank and possibly open the insert up a little.
No adapters needed.

OK, great, thanks jayman.

Balance point of the shaft is new to me. You can choose forward or rear. What do I have now? It's 10.5" from the joint face.
