The new sets of today are a newer formula that is the same as Super Aramith Pro from all I can gather. I had a set of these older ones for over 20 years. They played well until the day I sold them. The only complaint I had was after about 15 years they began to get contact marks with every rack requiring very frequent cleaning. I suppose after that many years of heavy play the finish was finally beginning to wear out. Still, after a quick cleaning w regular Aramith cleaner they looked good as new again for a couple of weeks before needing a cleaning. I bought a new set a year ago and they are great.

I have a set of the old Centennials and a couple sets of new ones. They all play the same
& genuinely look pristine after being cleaned. Plus, the pool ball luster afterward lasts awhile.
