For some interesting general information and photos, check out the case section of my site, www.palmercollector.com

I think Ann Gore stopped in the late 1980's. (there's an ad for Manx by Ann Gore in the Fellini Brochure section of my site from 1984).

Fellini stopped in the mid 1980's.

Jay Flowers stopped in the mid 1990's.

Clements still can make them, but expensive. Website: http://www.chasclements.com/

Kelli - these were made by Bill McDaniels (the cue maker) and no more.

Swift, I believe so, as "Widowmaker" but he could stop at anytime.

King Kustoms - I don't know.

Dennis Swift still makes cases and he seems like he's still going strong. His cases are the closest you are going to get to a Jay Flowers case...IMHO. He has made cases for Mueller and Tad Custom Cues that I know of so far. As far as Ann Gore, Fellini, Kelli, Centennial (sp) and similar type of cue case designs go, Ron Thomas is making that style of cue case and he is the best when it comes to this style of case! :D He doesn't have a website yet, but I hear he's in the process of having one made. Go to billiardcue.com and IndyQ.com to see pictures.

I think not, but what do I know???

I think it's obviously a scam or someone just don't know the difference. I just thought it was funny. I have a Jay Flowers case and needless to say it looks nothing like this :D .

He bought those in a "new/old stock" lot with some real Jay Flowers leather cases from a pool room. They are not marked, so he is guessing (inaccurately) that they are JEF cases. Jay wouldn't have made unmarked soft cases, trust me.

Those are made by Dennis Swift.

I stand corrected. The cases from Muellers are not Dennis swift cases. I e-mailed them yesterday and here is the response:

Jim,

Actually, our tooled leather cases are made by Fox Hollow Leather Crafts. The only other leather cases I sell is made by Porper. If you have any other questions, please call or email me. Thanks!

JH - Actually I think that Fox Hollow Leather Crafts is Dennis' company. Also, I think that Jay Flowers did actually make some simple envelope cases like the one shown. I bought one like that in San Angelo Texas many years ago that had beautiful tooling all over it. It was made by a company called the Longhorn case company.

Well, that's good news on Fox Hollow Leather Crafts.

Does your envelope JEF case have his trademark. How would you know if it was his? I have never seen these Jay Flowers (if that's what they are) cases.

No, the one that I bought was a "Longhorn" case, don't think that they are made anymore. It was really nice, natural colored, very heavy gauge leather with western tooling all over it. The interior was lined in sheepskin. Bought it for $50 at a pool hall in San Angelo called "Giz and Hums" about 15 years ago. The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it had a really "toothy" metal zipper, I was always afraid that it would scratch my cue. I personally have never seen the Flowers cue cases like that, but, saw somewhere on the web that he did make some. Can't verify for sure, hence the "I think" in my former post. I think I have Dennis Swift's phone number somewhere so PM me if you need it.
