Vintage Earl ( minus the antics)

That was some great shooting. If he shot like that when he was playing BJ last week it would have turned out a lot different.

Here's a rare footage of vintage Earl against Efren before he join the Dark Side of the Force! :D

I saw that match on ESPN back in 1994 and it was the first live pool coverage on ESPN and I don't think they've done a live pool match since (I could be wrong). The match was played at the Riviera in Las Vegas.

Efren made only one mistake the entire match, a scratch on the break...

I hadn't seen it before, and like you said, Efren played pretty much flawless. Simply amazing to watch.

Thanks for posting the link.

> I saw the Efren/Takahashi match in person,in fact with a good enough copy I can pick myself out. I was sitting just to the right of the booth, with a headset. You just about can't play better, there was only 1 set ever recorded on Accu-Stat's for a long time where the winning player so completely dominated an entire set. Johnny Archer beats Nick 13-1 at one of the Sands tournaments, and shot a .989. If you watch the tapes from the second day for the COM match,Earl practically maintains that speed for a race to 35 . Tommy D.

Efren didn't missed a ball, his CB control was empeccable, like it was at the
end of a string or was operating on remote control. He pocketed the one ball
each and everytime he broke, and he said he was just LUCKY!

I thought we were talking about Earl in this thread:D

We are! But it's never complete without Efren on it, it's like peanut butter without the jelly! :D
